Achieve ~ Couch to 5k GRADUATION

Category : Achievement, Couch to 5k, Fitness, Goal Setting, Inspiration, Intention, Personal Power, Personal Victory, Success, Women`s Health

a·chieve  [uh-cheev] verb, a·chieved,a·chiev·ing.

1. to bring to a successful end; carry through; accomplish.

2. to get or attain by effort; gain; obtain: to achieve victory.

3. to bring about an intended result; accomplish some purposeor effect.

So many things going through my head right now.

I did it!!!! I achieved my goal! Couch to 5k GRADUATION!

And boy did I do it in style!!!

So I forgot to mention I did legs last night at the gym also… and boy did I feel it on laps 7 & 8 and didn`t think I was going to even be able to do more than 2 miles. But I thought come on… this is the last day… go out strong. So I kept going and hit 3 miles and thought oh come on one more……. and 4 laps later I graduated Couch to 5k with a 4 mile run!!!!

You know one of things I am present to tonight, is something I have done for years…. probably about 10 years now. I started using “ACHIEVER” as my email names, and sign in names for anything that needed a name. I really never felt like an achiever but I heard that if you say it long enough one day you will start to believe it and it will happen. It happened tonight! I ACHIEVED PRIVATE VICTORY!!!!

I am very present to how my life is changing and I am growing into the person that God has intended for me to be. In the book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Steven Covey talks about how most people will never achieve PUBLIC VICTORY until they achieve PRIVATE VICTORY! When you do the things you are supposed to do when nobody is watching and prove to yourself you can do it consistently then you will start to have the confidence to achieve the same success in public settings.

If you have never read the The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People I recommend you don`t wait another second and go buy it and read it. It will change your life. Click here and get your copy today…. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Thanks to all of you who have supported me and encouraged me throughout this journey. It isn`t over yet! There are many more miles and races to run! I hope you will loeave me your comments on this journey, maybe what it has meant to, or whether you have been inspired to start your own journey to fitness! I would love to hear from you!

No turning back ~ Couch to 5k Week 7 Day 2

Category : Achievement, Couch to 5k, Fitness, Personal Power, Personal Victory

I officially declared myself a runner today! There is NO TURNING BACK now!  My Couch to 5k Week 7 Day 2 run was simply amazing!

As you heard in the video, I didn`t want to go backwards so I opted to run the 2 miles anyhow! How incredible is that!! I am more than proud of myself.

Now the big issue is whether to find a different 5k to run and attend the Regional or pass it up. I am thinking I need to find another 5k to run instead and attend the event and have the best of both worlds! I think I would have regrets if I skipped the Regional meeting.

Time will tell…..

Loving Couch to 5k!!!!

Couch to 5k Week 6 Day 3 ~ Domination!

Category : Achievement, Couch to 5k, Fitness, Personal Victory

I am so stoked!!!!! I just don`t even want to get into writing about today all I can say is that Couch to 5k Week 6 Day 3 …. Dominated!!!

I totally get the difference in how I was running today, verses the weeks prior. I don`t know what shifted for me but I was totally running with my thighs and butt, and I felt stronger, had a bigger stride, my shins didn`t hurt, and I shaved 2-3 minutes off my previous time. I really recommend you try to focus on that and see if it makes a difference for you!

I can`t wait to get my shakes back in on Monday and I am so stoked about starting Week 7!!! Only 3 more weeks till I graduate Couch to 5k!!! Then it is all about improving my speed and posture. The FCA River Valley Run in Nov 6th so I will have plenty of time to rock it out and improve!

Enjoying Living Full with Passion & Purpose!!!

Couch to 5k Transformation Week 5 Day 1 ~ Determination

de·ter·mi·na·tion

[dih-tur-muh-ney-shuhn]— n

1. the act or an instance of making a decision
2. the condition of being determined; resoluteness
3. the act or an instance of ending an argument by the opinion or decision of an authority
4. the act or an instance of fixing or settling the quality, limit, position, etc, of something
5. a decision or opinion reached, rendered, or settled upon
6. a resolute movement towards some object or end

Today I was DETERMINED that this Couch to 5k Week 5 Day 1 workout WAS GOING to get the best of me.

I was going to TAKE AUTHORITY over my body and my mind and I was going to make it!

I fixed my sights on reaching the end of the workout victorious!

The more I go through this process, the more I really understand the power of our thoughts. The importance of filling ourselves daily with the positive, edifying, nurturing material that feeds our spirit and soul and mind. And also filling our bodies with the proper fuel to be able to demand the best out of it.

I have changed my nutrition over the past 3 days and I firmly believe that is what helped me have the results I had today along with my mindset. Our body, mind and spirit have to all be receiving the proper nutrition in order for us to have balance and operate at our peak potential.

I am so excited to see the results of this C25k journey as well as the 90 Day Body by Vi Challenge. If you haven`t checked out my Day 1 video of the 90 Day Challenge you can watch it here. I will be posting those results weekly on Mondays!
